I'm having some trouble with my 2018 Zongshen RX1. I've been chasing a no-charging issue for a bit, and finally pulled the stator cover today to inspect. To my surprise, the stator itself was pretty wet with engine oil. I'm pretty concerned about this. From what I understand, the stator on these bikes should be in a relatively dry environment. My immediate thought is a blown seal, likely the main crankshaft seal behind the stator, or possibly the stator cover gasket itself.
Has anyone else encountered this on an RX1 or a similar Zongshen engine? Is finding the stator wet with oil a sure sign of a seal failure? What's the typical repair for something like this? Any tips on identifying which seal specifically might have failed would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the many questions and thanks in advance for any insights!
